I don't know about that - I've posted critical comments (about Bush, no difference between reps and dems, how homeland security is BS to be used against us, republican hypocracy on gun rights, etc) and none of them have been yanked.
And I can get pretty mean sometimes.

Free Republic Has Quit Being A Political Site And Has Turned Into a Mexican/Islam/Arab Bashing Site wileycyote...
. REsponse to GOPA
(This was thread was pulled earlier, by popular demand. Here is a response that I couldn't finish in time. GOPA was giving the 6 behaviors of Disruptors.)

3. Have shills comment one after the other to create an illusion of agreement on subjects most conservatives would not agree with.

4. Encourage anything that maintains the stereotype liberals have of conservatives. ( haters, prejudiced etc. -- if real freepers don't live up to the stereotype, put in shills to maintain it)

5. Encourage "feelings" not rational thought.

6. Bash Mexican/Islam/Arab/Blacks etc.

Boy you are right on the money. I've done a lot of time in rooms with controversial topics, and with Moderators who have been doing this for 4 or 5 years. These brave people, like Jim Robinson, who only desire to serve up the truth, often get harassed and terrorized on a personal level, by hackers and opponents of the Truth.

Their boards are regularly infiltrated by "shills". Often when forums are attacked, moderators get busy explaining the psychology and MO's of these "groups" of disruptors ask that posters refrain from responding.

And so, we then begin to see patterns, insightful, interesting articles on hot topics get trashed on the 2nd or 3rd post. Hardly time for the readers to digest and formulate a concise, meaningful reply. They want to interfere and intimidate those who might agree with possibly only a paragraph, or one statement of the post.

In good debate, one has to evaluate each statement for it's own worth. These vermin give away their close-mindedness when they, in the blink of an eye, disagree with each and every point that was made on whatever subject commented on.

And it also becomes obvious when "they" are having conversations with each other. They are nothing more than bullies that have found other bullies. Disinformation agents.

They sure get around.

They try to pit one side against the other in discussions that are not 2-SIDED. Getting to the truth is like making a good stew. Everyone uses different ingredients and methods. Some are valid and successful, some are not. If we just take the good and leave the rest, and become more informed, perhaps we can change someones mind or change or own in the process.

Many thanks to the people who devote all their time to keep their doors open for us.

(This post was written before this thread was started. I was hoping I would find another place to put it!) .
