No. I feel sorry for the victims, but...

Where does this stop? What about the next time, if there is a next time (and, it is very likely there will be a next time? What if the Red Chinese attack, say, Hawaii or any other place? What about terriorist attacks that kill US citizens abroad? What about the OKC victims?

Is some sense, how is this any different than someone losing their life in a freak accident? People need to be prepared. Buy life insurance. In an amount sufficient to provide for your loved ones.

Where is it written that some of these people deserve to continue a lifestyle? I hear a bunch of whinners... "It's not enough." Kikirist... $1.6Million, tax free? Cut me a break.

I basically agree with you... but. This situation has been created by our stupid liability laws and the deep pockets law. There is no question in my mind that the responsibility for these death is the Al Quiada organization, but our stupid laws allow lawyers to sue the airlines who are really victims of this tragedy.

These laws nearly destroyed the small aircraft manufacturing business. Any idiot who flies his plane into the ground creates an oppotunity for a lawyer to make a million dollars. What do we expect from this stupid system?

It is our job to change the system, not compensate these victims.

The federal government may have set a precedent that's going to see tons of lawsuits in the future to compensate for all the pain and suffering going on. They may regret doing what they did here.
