So many here throw that word around with reckless abandon.
Pragmatism is ugly. - It is a two-bit word for the far left's guiding principle (or lack thereof): The end justifies the means.
Is that what you really meant?
Is that what you really meant?
No. I wonder how those who witnessed the past three decades of judicial, legislative and media circuses can ask why we don't spend these years following Clinton...going after Clinton. And wouldn't that be Clinton's fondest dream...lights, camera, press sycophants and corrupt pols, historians, pundits, Professors, judges and Hollywood?
Ashcroft is a good man, in the old-fashioned sense of the word. He knows the law and will follow the law. He not only has a conscience, but he actually believes he is accountable to someone bigger than any of us. Makes him easy fodder for those looking for a scapegoat, but he is a strong man, and a good man. Anyone demanding a Congressional investigation, a political investigation in DC, of the Clintons is asking for the end of the Republican party. A simple fact. John Ashcroft and President Bush have more courage than the average American will ever understand. You think John Ashcroft doesn't want the Clinton criminals brought to justice? The man has more intimate knowledge and grounds to go after these folks than any of us can know. The American people can do something to help our very busy administration - research and write the Clitnon/Reno legacy. History will not be written solely by the left this time...and pray because it is a miracle that George Bush is President, John Ashcroft is AG and we still have people outside the beltway that understand the stakes we face and the odds against us without help from above.
