Yes, Keyes continued to run, even after he had no chance of winning.

I believe what they are saying is that his campaign remains open, and he's still collecting money from anyone stupid enough to send it, even though the election was over a year ago.

I haven't fact checked this myself, but it's been alleged on many Keyes threads recently.

Exodus, what Amelia is alluding to is the common practice of virtually all campaigns....that is, staying open and collecting pledged money or other monies to pay off campaign debts. John Glen, took years and years to pay off his senatorial campaign debts...it is a very common practice of which the FEC is quite aware inasmuch as they continue getting reports until after campaigns are closed out. I rather doubt that those who made pledges of financing consider themselves stupid for honoring committments.

Amelia, I'm sure you already know this, but seeing as how I used your words, I figured you should be flagged.
