THE folks at Msnbc are talking to former Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Alan Keyes about hosting a 10 p.m. show up against Fox News' new hire, Greta Van Susteren. Meanwhile, Van Susteren, a lawyer before her O.J. Simpson commentary turned her into a CNN star, reportedly has penned an eight-page memo detailing CNN's demerits. She plans to keep the document secret as long as CNN doesn't try to paint her as an ungrateful traitor.

Not to butt in, but have you been reading the posts by your fellow Keyes supporters? Not exactly the most civilized stuff I have read here - but then, I'm fairly new.

Crazed animals? Take a look around. Some of you guys have crossed some very delicate lines, and it is NOT cool. It's not only offensive. It reflects poorly on Alan Keyes.

Once again, the question is avoided. I'd like to know why Keyes doesn't criticize Democrats in all of these rants. Why is Keyes only critical of the Republican party?

The prospect of a show is very encouraging. TV continues to offer such worthless, mind-numbing garbage, it'd take a show with consistently good, stimulating content to get, and keep, my attention. More of the same political-celebrity parades, and elitists' screaming matches, wouldn't begin to cut it, though, so I hope Keyes avoids that stale route. (I have zero interest in hearing the personal opinions, and interpretations, of DC's anointed. Instead, let's talk about Self-Evident Truths, shall we?)

Anyway, it's an idea, whose time is long overdue, and I hope the show does become a reality. If it doesn't, oh well—I've still got my stereo.

Dr. Keyes has never had a problem attacking anyones' policies....he did it big time with the Demoncraps, and he got onto the GOP when they were screwing up. He's not changed in that regard.

And during the campaigning, he did try to bring out foreign policy differences.

Frankly, I don't remember, but I think Keyes didn't agree with how Bush handled the spy plane thing with China....and most of the first year was domestic policy--getting appointments submitted, looking at the current budget, planning for the next, the faith based, ESCR,etc. I do believe when immigration and trade come up, Keyes will have a lot to say.

My head doesn't scratch over Kristol and Keyes...I see nothing that would pull them towards each other -- even as a friendship from college thing...Keyes is heavy into speaking at pro life events, as well as other events, I imagine he's involved to some degree with the Declaration Foundation, there's a Black New Leadership group, not to mention his family.

Not to be too philsophical, but I think Keyes confronts those in power and what they do with it.

Prior to the 2000 elections he was quite outspoken against Clinton, Gore, Reno, and any others that afronted our liberties or the Constitution.

I have heard him speak of late against Liberals and their agenda but with GWB at the helm its GWB that's the point man now and with him lies the final responsibility.
