[history]
THE folks at Msnbc are talking to former Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Alan Keyes about hosting a 10 p.m. show up against Fox News' new hire, Greta Van Susteren. Meanwhile, Van Susteren, a lawyer before her O.J. Simpson commentary turned her into a CNN star, reportedly has penned an eight-page memo detailing CNN's demerits. She plans to keep the document secret as long as CNN doesn't try to paint her as an ungrateful traitor.

Excuse me for interrupting in the middle of a war,
but are you a frustrated poet or what?
Why do you post in the bizarre stanza?

Frustrated?!
Are you saying
that my poems don't rhyme?
No, I feel that it makes the post easier to read.
I sometimes get lost in a large paragraph.

You're being deliberatly obtuse, aren't you? You cannot possibly be that dumb.
He was continuing to run for president AFTER George Bush had the nomination and it was almost Election Day. Over three whole months AFTER the convention.
Why was he running for POTUS when somebody ELSE already had the place on the ticket??????

Keyes can't be the team player because then he'd have to deal with people he considers evil. In the Keyes mind, if Keyes deals with evil people than what is he? Evil. If he actually managed to get elected, he'd have a heck of a time dealing with that evil Congress, wouldn't he? One good thing, we wouldn't have to worry about any new laws for 4 years -- Keyes wouldn't be able to get any passed, and he wouldn't sign any THEY passed!

It most certainly DID happen; there were members of this very forum who were there and came back to FR and POSTED his very words and their impressions of them.
Now, if you care to call some of the most respected people on this forum liars, be my guest.

Howlin, that's a doozy, and you know it...you're way over the line once again. And here I thought you were gonna make a resolution to be nice this year.

However, the thought of keyes having a TV show in which to trash a great President brought even me to an intense need to reply. And I feel a heck of a lot better!Yes in 1984 they had a 'Hate Hour' in which the unfortunate citizens were given the opportunity to 'Hate' a caricature of the 'enemy' leader. Left them as satisfied as you arr. Sort of the same way that the SA members felt after they had set upon some of their enemies with billy clubs. The feelings of a true thug.

I for one, congratulate you EV, for fighting the dems. There are many of us who have, in fact, been doing that for quite a while. What I have noticed is that the rest of your "old group" is NOT in fact doing that, including the leader himself. I'm anxiously awaiting that day!
I wonder if a did a nexis search on Keyes/Bush and then Keyes/Daschle what would pop up?

I said it would be a good thing.

Klinton has already been prosecuted by the House for "high crimes and misdemeanors". The Sinate (judges) threw out the case. The problem is not Bush, it's the SINATE. The news media would always come to the defense of the Klintons so why would anyone fight a loosing battle. Pick your fights wisely, and be prepared. The Keyesters haven't learnt this yet, LOL
To: EternalVigilance
Why are the Keyes folks unwilling to address the issues that offend??
Are you willing to discuss why you think Keyes is better than? And why you think that better than entitles him and his supporters to trash others???

"NOTICE (to all who didn't notice):
The presidential campaign ended over a year ago...
George W. Bush won!!
The vitriol of those who hate Alan Keyes never ceases to amaze me...
and this thread is the most vivid demonstration of it yet.
Hey guys...Why don't y'all go find something positive to do,
rather than trashing your fellow Christian and Conservative.

I knew they roomed in college, Torie....but that was long ago...and being roomies don't make you soul mates in politics. LOL
Regarding the 'commonality of politics'--we agree.....they're in 2 different worlds.
