The Asian population in California, despite its reputation for conservatism, voted against Prop. 187, which was intended to end welfare for illegal immigrants, and also voted against Proposition 194, which was intended to end affirmative action. Of course, these same Asians also voted heavily for Al Gore.

My guess is that their children will follow this liberalism. After all, under affirmative action, anyone with some minority ancestry may end up benefitting.
