Diversity can be good or bad. During Pax Romana, Greek and Hebrew scholars obvioulsy enhanced the knowledge and well-being of the Empire, but Gauls and Germanic tribesmen in the roman legions made the entire military weak and divisive. So selective diversity should be practiced.

Because the vast majority of immigration now occuring is "Third World" immigration.

Presumably this is what his book expounds on. Based on current data and trends, he is extrapolating to future consequences based on current immigration policies. As I pointed out earlier if he includes Japan as one of the "undersirable" nations, then yes he probably is basing his argument on racial distinctions, otherwise it sounds like he is making cultural distinctions.

Because huge numbers of people who helped make the third world the THIRD WORLD want to pack up and bring their problems here, to the United States.

Last time I checked Canada and European were part of Western Civilization. These are relatively free, stable, wealthy countries. Which means their citizens are less likely to go on the dole, or attempt to take advantage of race-based policies like affirmative action.

The race factor wouldn't matter if there were no such thing as a welfare state, affirmative action and multiculturalism. These institutions didn't exist during previous waves of American immigration, a factor most of the people who take your position choose to ignore.

Do you have a quote to back this up? To my knowledge Pat Buchanan has never said Christianity is not practiced worldwide.

It's called being consistent and intellectually honest. IOW, opposing these immigrants is a necessary part of his an overall (non-racial) argument against immigration.

Many Asiatic countries are hell holes (do you disagree?), and many of those immigrants would bring more with them than Christianity, whether you will admit to it or not.
