How cognizant you are of the enormity of the Enron scandal remains unknown, however, Kenneth Lay of Enron is Bush's chief financial backer. There are many questionable business practices if not out-and-out fraud about this whole stinking pile. Lay took $130 million in salary in the year Enron went belly up on the backs of the investors and the employees.

As has been shown by more astute FReepers than I, Enron was in bed with the Democrats when it was experiencing its greatest growth.
If Lay gave money to the Catholic Church, you'd say the Pope was compromised somehow, too, I suspect.
