We have to understand that the passengers on flight 93, that tried to defend themselves and did defend others on the ground, did in fact form an "impromptu militia." If their Second Amendment right had been honored and they had been armed, they may have been able to save their own lives.

The fact is that - even in a place full of overwhelmingly young males armed to the teeth with small arms (Army bases) - nobody seems to be "going postal" on colleagues!

The mantra that people should behave passively when confronted by criminals seems impervious to all the scholarly research that indicates that passivity is definitely not the safest course of action.That is the government's mantra.
On 9-11, the heroes of Flight 93 decided that the 'conventional wisdom' of our leaders would not help them. Only when they disregarded the government's procedure for dealing with violence did they minimize the loss of life - possibly even saving the lives of some of those who support pacifism, if the plane was headed for the Capitol. Ironic.

And if by "moron", you're referring to the passengers who resisted in flight 93, you've got to wake up and smell the burning buildings. A lot of lives could have been spared had more "morons" defended themselves on 9/11. The terrorists might have thought twice had they known that there might have been armed passengers on those flights.

Hum...let me think...pilots are dead...terrorist have control of the plane had the pilots been armed, it's likely the above would not have happened.
