Guess what...television...

So I assume by your answers that you would support, laud, and defend the "right" of Americans to abrogate their own inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

What rights? Do you believe that citizens really have rights?

If such a drug did exist, there would be no reason to make it illegal, as no-one would want to take it anyway.

After all it is not illegal to buy own or sell rat-poison.

CJ, you, as a free individual, can do whatever you like with YOUR life and property, PERIOD. You can even kill yourself if you like, it's YOUR life. Freedom means you have the right to make mistakes....BUT YOU HAVE TO LIVE (or die) WITH THE CONSEQUENCES. Government exists ONLY TO PROTECT AND DEFEND YOUR RIGHTS, not to save you from the consequences of your actions. Nor will properly constituted government allow you to interfere with the EQUAL rights of others FOR ANY REASON, no matter how noble YOU think it is.

The fact of the matter is, you are confusing the role of government with the role of church and family. You are attempting to grant to government the task of parenting and that will NEVER work. It can't. YOU have to be the parent for your family and raise your children with the kind of values that YOU believe they will need to succeed in the world. If you don't do YOUR job, don't whine when they fall in with bad companions and do things you might abhor.

I will post something for you to mull over on another thread, but may I suggest you look up Frederic Bastiat at bastiat.org in the meantime.
