The issue is that you a TR man ran to the Critical text reading when the King James contradicted what Calvin had held.

I do not know what Calvin held other than a few basics. I do not read his writings, but the Word clearly defines election. Faith as a granted gift in the first place. You can not support ANY free will argument with text from scripture.
It is all made up out of the reasoning of man saying "that can't be right" or "that ain't fair!"
These thoughts do not override to the text itself.

King James Version.

One of the worst translations filled with holes and confusing language.
Thank God for ther Revised Standard and "Strongs Concordance."

Scripture please? Never mind, if you are going to use a RV why bother.

You can not support ANY free will argument with text from scripture.

How about Jn.3:16, Rom.10:13, 'whosoever' believes will be saved, how about 1Tim.2:4, 4:10 God wants all men saved, and is the saviour ofall men. How about 1Jn.2:2,Heb.1:9 that He died for the sins of all men. How about Rom.4:4-5 that faith is not a work but is grace which is counted as Righteousness. Grace that you must receive as a free gift to be saved (Jn.1:12, Eph.2:8)

It is all made up out of the reasoning of man saying "that can't be right" or "that ain't fair!" These thoughts do not override to the text itself.

It is not a matter of it being unfair to man it is unfair to God to attribute to Him the notion that He COULD save everyone but will not. That goes against the scripture that He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ez.33:11) and is longsuffering to them hoping they will repent (2Pet.3:9)

The King James is the greatest translation ever composed, bar none. It is the Book that built this nation, not the corrupt, Catholic text RV.

That makes two for two in the being wrong dept.

Even so, come Lord Jesus
