Several Sought in Food Mixer Mystery

Shortly after the Sept. 11 terror attacks, the FBI launched a search for several men who had mysteriously vacated Fort Lee, N.J., office space and may have taken possession of an industrial food-processing machine that could be used to mix chemicals, law enforcement sources say.

The men - one who rented the space and a few others who visited, according to the landlord - and the machine have not been located. Investigators say the machine was shipped to a New Jersey address but are uncertain of the identity of the receiver.

They were mixing up the anthrax to put in the cards. It's a dual business!

Seriously, I can't think of anything a bunch of guys with a hole in the wall business would need with a $100,000 food processor that would be legitimate.

When? As far as I know, it's still valid. ANYONE could have sent those letters, as long as they wanted the FBI to think Muslims were behind the attacks (because the letters said things about Israel and Allah).

If it looked like this one, the perps have probably already opened a pizza joint.

These guys were probably part of a sophisticated operation to smuggle this machine around
something like a 200% import tax/duty...to start up the first KrispyKreme operation
in Yemen.
