Okay, anyone whose ever been a parent knows this as a mother's
worst possible nightmare. Also, many in law enforcement are aware that these kids usually
don't end up living a peaceful albeit confused life with some infertile nutball in an obscure part of rural America, and that it's much more likely that this sweet helpless child is in the hands of an evil that's too horrible to even imagine.
Most child abductions occur within families, but there are about three hundred or so a year that are like this, totally random by complete strangers, and the child vanishes without a trace of him/her ever to surface again (as though the poor thing never existed in the first place), despite the greatest efforts by the finest law enforcement minds, teams of seasoned professionals, and thousands of caring citizens, all doing the best they humanly can.
I'm not good at posting the actual "Dear Heavenly Father..." prayers that read so beautifully, but I sincerely believe that this is a "not against flesh and blood...." situation, and that fervent prayer by God's people are truly this mother's only hope. I can't even imagine her horror.

I know I'll get flamed for this, but something's fishy. I saw the woman's press conference and she did not exactly look as torn up as I believe most parents would be. I mean, if it were my kid, I'd be catatonic! JMO, flame away!

Did I miss the description of the child? "Christine" was described in detail, but is the child Caucasian? Black? "Anderson" could be either.

But in the mean time, before you waste all your time praying, start using some of that time and explaining to some loved ones how ignorant they are voting for the RATS who appoint liberal judges. That makes absolutely no sense. How will talking to our friends about voting for conservatives bring this little girl back to her mother? THAT is the issue at hand here. There is a little girl who was taken from her mother. Jasmine will not be found if I go and tell ten of my neighbors to vote for Joe Conservative in the next election.

Thanks for the info. The names "Jasmine" and "Alesia" (sp?) sorta made me think she might be black.

My wife says the mother reminds her of Susan Smith.

Chicago?....I thought she was just some other W.T. from Georgia.

I would like to see the mother's statement. If she is not completely hysterical (like I know my wife and I would be)I would be reluctant to believe her.

"not that i am suggesting anything...."There were witnesses to the incident, according to the Sun Times, and one guy attempted to chase the woman running off with the kid. Police have interviewed him for several hours, and everyone's clear of suspicion, even the father in Milwaukee.

If she is not completely hysterical (like I know my wife and I would be)I would be reluctant to believe her.I know it sounds terrible but anymore, you just never know. I hope to God this baby is being taken care of but I have to say, even at 21, no one I didn't know, and I mean NO ONE would have been holding my daughters no matter how damn exhausted I was.
To: oldvike
No flame from this sector,
I agree with wildwood and you oldvike, I kept looking for abject loss to come from this "bereaved" mother which even I as a man would have been beside myself with fear and trepidation and unable to speak coherently.
Just an observation base upon my own reactions to a similar event if it had happened to me.

before you waste all your time prayingThat's what you said and it sounded to me like you thought prayer was a waste of time and that getting conservatives elected was a better use of time. I accept your explanation of what you said you mean.

Mom is white and child is half white/half black. And the second child is half white, half hispanic.
Looks like "mom" has been making some real good choices in her life. Unmarried, mother of two children by different fathers, of two different races.
This woman has been all over Chicago TV (I live in the Chicago area) and while I pray for the child's safety, someone needs to tie that woman's tubes.

Let's put a face on this child - who is in trouble through no fault of her own:
