I don't ever want to see the fbi in what you call "full stature" if their results are what we have observed in the last few years. I don't call open attacks on american citizens, something to be proud of, when the alligators have taken over the pond. If the fbi is to become the FBI ever again, it will earn it by solid results oriented police work, not after the fact "revelation", and cleanup of what could have been prevented.

Not to place too much blame on the fbi, had the second amendment been in effect on 9/11, we all know the results might have been just a tad different. Brought to you in memory of those heroes who were forced to use what they had, because the Constitution and the bill of rights is currently not in vogue.

Agree, I wouldn't be too brutal on the rank and file agents. Remember, Slick and Reno had 8 years to get girly men promoted up through the ranks. These would have been the employees who cried during the required diversity training, multicultural retreats, etc. The same goes for the military.

You nailed it. The FBI bumbled and fumbled its way through WWII as our "premier" domestic intelligence resource. It has always been a domestic intelligence service which targets citizens, rather than a law enforcement agency. This makes it simply a secret police organization at the disposal of the executive branch for political use in covert operations against the citizenry.

It's basically worthless to our form of government, but invaluable to our current type of politicians.
