December 19, 1998: first elected president impeached for subverting the administration of justice.

December 19, 2001: The " dangerous, self-absorbed sicko... a delusional if opportunistic narcissist... " meets with his aides to devise ways to enhance his influence in politics.

Wow, all I can say is ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Three years to the day?

Not one article mentioned the timing of the meeting.

It had slipped my mind, obviously. Maybe it slipped theirs as well, I don't think they would want ANY reminders of or associations with impeachment. But somebody should have noticed that.

If anyone wants to reminisce, I posted a thread of some links to the old threads on Wednesday:
Impeachment Anniversary

LOL! I wish I'd posted it in "Breaking News"!

Next year: "Impeachment Week"- celebrated all week long.

'"If you believe for a single second that this president isn't damaged and hurt by this (impeachment trial) you're deluding yourself," said Democratic Senator Christopher Dodd on ABC television Sunday.
"Impeachment is there forever," said respected Democratic Senator Robert Byrd. "It's there for all of history." '

The Washington ComPost also chose to run the first of its two-part series on how Clinton did his best to catch bin Laden on Dec. 19th. I suspect the timing was deliberate.
