That's because, as I said, the choice ISN'T between someone who only talks about abortion, leaving the world to go to hell in a handbasket and someone who is otherwise a cosmopolitan, geo-political whiz. There ARE conservatives who are both pro-life AND superb statesman.

My beef is that these types seldom get support. As a recent case in point, see Brett Schundler. He is capable, highly intelligent, articulate and staunchly pro-life.

Also, you and I differ on theological grounds. In my understanding of Scripture, it doesn't matter if you have a Ronald Reagan leader with the intelligence and acumen of Kissinger, if he supports chopping up humans in their mother's wombs, GOD WILL BRING THAT ONE DOWN. Some of us see not just threats without, but within.
