I agree. Condie would be fabulous. The likelihood of finding a candidate that is a straight partyline follower, and as charismatic, intelligent and a true master of world events as Condie is pretty slim.
He's not especially well known, but I think at some point, my Republican Senator, Gordon Smith, could be a viable candidate. He's conservative, pro-life, yet with a moderate, personable demeanor (much like Pres. Bush). He is also a successful businessman, which I think makes a big difference.
I just think he ought to be on people's radar screens.
