I have wondered about his voice, that he can no longer hear, seems to have ascended into the treble range. I'm no sound engineer, but can't one of the engineers work on this with an electronic reduction of treble or addition of more base quality to his voice? They do this sort of thing all the time in recording voices, in the movies etc.

Yeah, they said they did it in Harry Potter to undo Harry's voice change in mid filming. But I found the change to be quite noticeable and confusing to see him go from high voiced to low voiced back to high voiced in a single sequence. I heard they did the same with Macaully Culkin in that animated movie he was in, and I remember that actually working though.
