The settlements represent a poke in the eye and should not remain the major stumbling block to some measure of peace.

The so-called "settlements" are not the major stumbling block to peace. That is a lie started by the Arabs. The major stumbling block is that Jews have their own state and the Arabs cannot slaughter them as easily as they did before the state.

The Sinai went back to Egypt, the Golan Heights will go back to Syria...

The Sinai went back to Egypt, but that was a mistake which will hopefully not be repeated the next time Egypt attacks. Moreover, the Sinai is a buffer and US forces are there to guarantee that the Egyptians do not launch an attack. The Golan Heights will not serve the same purpose. If Israel gives back the Heights, it will be inviting Syria to start another war.

it is only the West Bank that is a hold up. Israel has no right to the territory and should exit.

Why not? Produce evidence of a single instance where a nation defending themselves gave back land won in a defensive war. Alternately, provide me the legal basis for your statement.

The United Nations did not give all of Jerusalem to Israel...that is why Tel-Aviv was the capitol.

The UN didn't give anything to Israel. And exactly when was Tel-Aviv the capital?

If Israel wants more land they should buy it with something besides blood.

They did. They bought it with money and with sweat.

If the Palestinians want to go home from the camps they should do so by peacefully moving in and stop the bloodshed.

The problem is that the so-called Palestinians were promised the homes of the Jews. That is what they want and the only way for them to get it is with blood.

Since the radicals in both camps want to fight it is about time we let them duke it out or shut up.

Another Arab lie. There are no "moderates" in the Arab camp. They are all "radicals" - only in different stages. Some are more patient, but their goal of eradicating Israel is the same. Moreover, what you consider to be a "radical" in the Israeli camp requires a clearer definition. The overwhelming majority of Israelis want peace. And they proved that through numerous concessions over the last 8+ years. Your suggestion that we "let them duke it out or shut up" is not worth discussing. That's how little I think of it.

Actually the real question is: What would a good father be doing by bringing his son there?

Arafat: I'm willing to sacrifice 70 to die to kill one Israeli

Poor mathmetician....poorer leader.

Arafat is leading the troops when he hears a yell from over a wall, "One Israeli is worth 10 Palestinians."

Arafat sends 10 Palestinians over the wall and hears shots fired. Silence. Then a yell, "One Israeli is worth 100 Palestinians."

Arafat sends 100 Palestinians over the wall. More shooting. Silence. Then a yell, "One Israeli is worth 1000 Palestinians."

Arafat sends 1000 Palestinians over the wall. Terrible shooting. Silence.

Finally one lone wounded Palestinian crawls back over the wall and tells Arafat, "Don't send anymore Palestinians over the wall, it is a trap...there's TWO of them!"

Awright, buddy, youre on. I will predict that the Golan will not go back to Syria, and that there will never be a Palestinian state (ie sovereign nation other than Israel between Jordan River and Mediterranean.)

Well at a 70 to 1 kill ratio in favor of the Israelis I do not think the palestinians will be able to maintain the war for very long.

Stay well - stay safe - stay armed - yorktown

Actually, if the kid was hit by only one .50 cal round from an M2 MG, the round would have likely not have torn him in half because the momentum of the round would have made a fairly small hole and gone straight through unless it hit a vital organ, went through a major artery, head, etc.

Uniformed children stand in units named after guerrillas killed fighting Israel as part of Hizbollah's Jerusalem day rally December 14, 2001 in Beirut. The head of Lebanon's Hizbollah guerrilla group urged Palestinians to launch more suicide bomb attacks on Israelis and defy U.S.-led demands to crack down on 'terrorist' militant groups. (Sharif Karim/Reuters)

In case you haven't seen this picture of these "children" - Narabzis.

If aggressors invaded our country, we would fight to the death as Patrick Henry implied he would. Unfortunately, Palestinians have modest weapons, which kill themselves, but as they have no free choices with Israel all over them in every way, they preserve the one choice they do have - how they will die. This sad stance is recognized by Plato senior Jewish students at UCLA, at least. As the powers-that-were turned over Palestinian land to Israel w/o any consideration given the Palestinian people, nor a state as Israel was handed, with military support as well, is it any wonder Palestinians persist rightfully, with no backing, to right this wrong for the sake of justice? It would be grand if Israel amended this wrong by paying all the Palestinians past and present for Israel's financially abusive and other restrictive policies, the price of the land taken from them to form Israel, with fair rule of Jerusalem by all religious entities with histories there. A fine Christian Christmas present that would be.

"...But I think what the father did is very important. It proves that the Arabs killed this kid..."

C'mon, a little credit here...

I understand your point, and your agenda. And I've never once said that the kid was killed by Israeli fire. (by direct, intentional fire anyway)

It's far more plausible that arabs shot the boy, either intentionally, to create a 'martyr', or through that special sort of blundering stupidity that they are so often prone to.

But not one jot or tittle of this alters my previously stated position on the negligence, and the cowardice, of this man's actions vis a vis his son.

Now that is a stupid comment, in fact that is false. A terrorist is someone who attacks civilians with the goal of terrorizing the population. There is no space here for debate, if you attack with the intent of killing innocents, you are a terrorist. The targets of the criminals in the middle east, are not military therefore they are terrorists period.

The PLO, as a terrorist organization, should be next on the list.

That is, if it isn't immediately following Hussein/Iraq.

This isn't just Israel's 'battle', it is a struggle of civilization versus chaos.
Or, good and evil, if you prefer it put that way.

"...You're not necessarily talking "normal parent" here..."

They are as 'good' at parenting, it would seem, as they are at virtually everything else they do.

Unfortunately, they have weapons which also kill others. They could get a much more desirable effect by just using the good ol' cool-aid.

Did something hit you on the head, bolt? Something from the blue, perhaps? If it was lightning, perhaps you would be so good as to go somewhere else to sizzle? The PA?
