This brings up one of my pet peeves. I wish people would not wear caps or hats indoors. When did a baseball cap get to be an indoor fashion accessory?

When did a baseball cap, become a fashion accessory? That's a good question, we weren't allowed to wear hats/caps indoors. Of course we were so abused, that we had to wash up before dinner, change into a clean shirt(no long sleeves rolled up or unbuttoned), and wait until all parties were seated. Then grace was said, Dad got the first portion, and we were required to have a portion of everything mom prepared before going back for seconds. I remember sitting alone at the table for hours, not because I wouldn't eat something, but because I was too stubborn to ASK to be excused. It was below my dignity, and of course once the point was made, to give in was to lose face. I finally learned to eat slower, and wait for everyone else to leave the table, then I didn't have to ask for permission, I be real stubborn.

I thought the same thing! I have three boys who just HATE it when I tell them to remove their caps in public buildings. Of course, every other kid has his cap on, so WHY CAN'T THEY WEAR THEIRS??? LOL It's tough being a mean mom, but someone has to do it. Might as well be me.

Exactly! When I was a kid, if I dared to walk into the house with my baseball cap on my head, it would only take seconds before one of my parents ordered me to take it off.

Hats are to be worn outdoors, not indoors.
