[history]
Federal and state wildlife biologists planted false evidence of a rare cat species in two national forests, officials told The Washington Times.
Had the deception not been discovered, the government likely would have banned many forms of recreation and use of natural resources in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Wenatchee National Forest in Washington state.

"This should be front-page news."
This is not news. So-called 'public servants' sucking on the public teat while telling the public a pack of self-serving lies is not news.
Higher-level bureaucrats protecting their turf by protecting these parasites is not news, either.
What would be news would be the general public actually paying attention to the manner of their own evisceration and butchering.
Don't get your hopes up.

BUMP! This is rather an interesting find.
Sickening.
Its about time these property destroying eco-terrorists became an endangered species.

Hiya ES...been a while!-)
Anyone surprised by this cr@p, is probably also inclined to think that the outbreak of hoof&mouth disease in England/Europe/Japan was merely a 'natural' occurance, too!

""This revelation makes all the projects these offices and individuals were involved in suspect, and may merit review," Mr. Gordon said." Let's not let these wacko, enviro-nazis lefty's and the bureaucrats that boy clinton and algore enrolled in attacking our right's, get away with it !!

This is eyeopening...or should be!
This should be cause to demand reconsideration of ALL enviro-restrictions based on the presence of any "so-called" endangered species.
Is there a concerted effort to expand Fed power via landgrabbing? Everything 'til now has said, yes. This shouts, "YES!"

As a Lynx Lover, and a Pixie-Bob owner, I find this to be tragic news, as they have now cried wolf. Besides, I have never liked the idea of kicking humans out of anywhere.

Why am I not surprised this is in Washington State?

I would like to know a lot more about where organizations like ELF get their funding. In this particular case, it would be interesting to know 1) if the government employees involved belonged to any radical environmental groups, and 2) if they were promised any remuneration or had any other financial interests that would benefit by more restrictive environmental regulations. It would be very interesting to know their educational backgrounds also, and whether they have published anything on environmental issues.
The public has a right to know the identity of these individuals.

Looks like background checks will be needed for forestry, and fish and wildlife positions, to keep out that special breed of liar known as an "Environmentalist."Excellent idea!

Thanks for pinging me on this one. My brother is a PhD organic chemist who works for the federal government in the field of natural resources (fish), and he's a conservative. I just sent it to him. I can't wait to hear his reaction. Another brother is trying to keep the home he built (a wildlife refuge may be expanded to engulf his property)...he got it, too.
This is unbelievable. These people should be dismissed.

That's a trick question, right?
You know the answer. But, you just want to see if I know the answer.
