I hope as a result of all this more people realize the history of Western Civilization is the history of Christianized Rome and subsequent European culture. Even in China, the most productive entrepeneurial elements of society are often Christians. So, while there is no need to "establish" religion, I hope national leaders realize Christian evangelism is a powerful force for good. I am a largely non-church-going nominal Lutheran, but I acknowledge my debt to the Christian culture of the West. It is time for a more open and public embrace of this culture.
