Blessings, to you and the rest of the family as well as ARIC2000! Give Amber an extra hug!! I will be out of town for a few days, but will do my best to check in! The prayers, however, will not stop. My girls are praying for Kathy as well!! We have all seen the power of answered prayer. Keep the faith, brother!

Just noticed this thread tonight. Would like to know how little Kathy is doing. I pray that the doctors have come up with a solution and that Kathy will fully recover. Lord, surround Kathy with your light and love, and your mighty healing power. We see her whole and well, in Jesus name. Amen

I am getting worried, havent heard from aric2000 for a few days, have you heard anything on Kathy??

Hey gang, I had to go back to work. I missed two weeks of work in the past 5 and I work nights so it get's kind of complicated with the schedule around here! Aric went up north to his mom's for the holidays is probably why you haven't heard from him. Anyway, we got a ray of light today! My childhood doctor lives in Corpus Christi now and I found that out through the grapevine yesterday. He is the director of education for Christus Spahn hospital which really blew me away so I thought I'd call him up and see if he'd look into the case for us. This guy is what you picture a doctor as. He came up to the hospital tonight and got with the treating physician that's been in her care for the past three weeks, took a long look at her records and had a long talk with the doctor in charge of Kathy, after about an hour he came in and said (medical terminologies don't stick in my head very long) anyway she has a cousin to the mono virus and they should have known that 5 weeks ago!!! That should have been the very first test done on her. They have certainly looked for everything else including mosquito borne virus's etc. Plus all the suggestions we have received from you guys. So as it stands now, this is a mean and nasty virus and the only thing that can cure it is food, yep that's right - nutrition. She should be in the hospital a few more weeks if this is all correct and slowly start to get better everyday little by little! So it sounds like good news, finally! And this doctor did it all for no charge, that is what a good friend of the family and childhood doctor should be! Meanwhile these dufus others have depleted all the veins in both her arms and feet with IV's and taking blood for tests, did 2 spinal taps and were pushing us the past three days, to do another, etc. It is really hard to stay a Godly man through all of this but thanks to your prayers and support as well as everyone else across the country who in one way or another know about this situation, finally God has opened his heart and we are getting to the bottom of all this and hopefully Kathy will come out of this ok. She started losing her vision three days ago and I can only pray that will come back to normal along with the rest of her body as she get's better. The doctor didn't sound like he thought any permanent damage was done and said all these symptoms came along with this virus! So please keep praying and thanking God everyday and I will keep you informed as the next few weeks carry on! God Bless and have a safe, happy, and succesful New Year!!! Dennie and Amber

Blessings Dennie and Amber, That is great news. Thank you for responding, I have been getting really worried. I will pray that the answer has been found and that the cure is quick. God Bless you guys for all that you have been through. Keep the faith, that is so important at this time. You are being tested. Sometimes the tests of our faith are unfair, and the ones who are hurt are our children. I dont presume to understand it, I can only accept it. Please let us know what you hear as soon as you can. Kept praying while away. I am thankful for the breakthrough. Keep the Faith...inspite of anything you hear or see continue to stand on God's promises! You are child of God, and therefore an heir (Romans 8:17). That is God's Word that you have a RIGHT to claim all of His promises in scripture! You have those promises in your possession! Stand on them! God is faithful, and keeps His Word. His Word prevails!! God never changes (Mal 3:6, Heb. 13:8). Do not let the enemy steal from you. God did not place this on Kathy, Satan did - - "The thief (devil) cometh not, but for to steal and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."John 10:10.
