Ping for the MSPL.
IMHO, Mark Steyn has no peer.

Great column.
Well, it was a late entry, but the Turner judges were particularly taken by Osama's almost playful approach to contemporary notions of slaughter and horror.

Pokey:
This guy is brilliant. Really. So many great lines--"He's worked in construction, he's worked in deconstruction..."
But is he surreptitiously giving us inside info about Fisk? I'd figure if anyone would know you would. Not from personal experience, but from readings. :) I wonder if he started that fight in Pakistan where the locals beat him up. Because he likes that kind of thing, perhaps? He sure loved to detail the punches and injuries. The story why they turned on him was suspect. Hmmmmm.....

Actually the guy with the beard and the 10-day sh-tters is Carol Burnnett. See. It's clear. (Couldn't get Rosie O'donnald and Hillary didn't want to be a film star yet.) Larry King gets first interview. (Lucky Larry)

"Where do I park my ass?" And he says: "In the extra-large burqa, infidel harlot." Bloody hilarious, I don't think. Worth repeating

Yes, but sooner or later God's going to find out just how badly Steyn's overdrawn.

Barkeep, I'll have another Steyn!
To: Pokey78
Pokey, you're the best! Thanks for the fix. I couldn't help but do the voices (accents) in my head while I was reading it. OMG, it was hilarious!

Proof that there is hope for Canada.

" IMHO, Mark Steyn has no peer."
The only one to approach Steyn is O'Rourke.

Thanks, Pokey. Best Steyn ever, if you ask me, though some of his columns in the Spectator during the impeachment were awfully good, too. (Do you remember him saying Clinton tried to recapture the JFK mystique but only wound up with "Cumalot"?)

Thanks! I love to start the day with a real laugh (especially one directed at many of the folks who deserve it most).

Everlasting Steyn.
Can't imagine a Saturday morning without his marvelous essays. The bit about the Turner judges was priceless.
