If you have a teacher friend on this forum, no matter what state they're in, please do flag them to this thread. What Gov. Bush did to help teachers in FL should be happening all over the country -- but, isn't.

Thanks, Tonto. I agree. But, I've concluded it's tough to compete with Osama about to exposed at any moment now! However, come closer to November, this is the kind of thread I hope people will pull up and remember to discuss in Letters to the Editor.

Ed, I can't recall if I already flagged you here, but in this editorial I mention the four new state laws I was referring to on that other thread, about the NEA resolutions. When I have a chance, I will post for you the new NEA resolutions I read, thanks to your thread -- and, you'll see what I mean about the NEA now FOLLOWING the leadership of Gov. Jeb Bush on matters important to teachers, and trying to catch up with HIM.

Bump for Jeb. Last summer we visited him in his office, and he took some pictures with my kids and I and let us sit at his desk. I was truly impressed. He rates #1 with me.

Thanks for your thoughtful suggestion in your post #79. Maybe John Robinson will consider it, as you mentioned. This topic will certainly be an issue in the FL gov race.
