Cool. Bush is doing just as I had hoped he would. Speaking softly & carrying a big stick.

rough wording: "I cannot and will not allow the American people to be put in danger because of a 30-year old treaty, one of the signatories no longer exists. I look forward to my visit to Moscow, as Russia moves to a market society. We are all rallying against terrorism. I appreciate President Putin's help and advice. He has committed to reducing his arsenal, and we will reduce ours.
PRESIDENT PUTIN AND I AGREE THAT THE USA WITHDRAWAL FROM THIS TREATY WILL NOT ENDANGER OUR NEW FRIENDSHIP!!ping! take that, dash-hole and biden!

I love the guy. I really do. BUT I wish someone would tell him to say - NU-CLE-AR...NOT NUC-CU-LAR!!
Kidding aside....this is good news.

Wendell Goler, Fox White House man, says Europe will bitch and moan. waaa waaa. Which would be a positive confirmation that President Bush is doing the right thing.

Nuke-you-ler was a pet peave of one of my engineering profs. You could be kicked out of class for saying it wrong!!! On the other hand, he can get away with it, and control the destiny of the world to boot!

Very stern but hopeful words. No questions taken. Back in the White House to do actual business, unlike the last 8 years.
Keeping campaign promises, one by one, despite what the whiners say.

Since he is in control of said arsenal, he can call them anything he wants...;-)
To: Recovering_Democrat
Since he said that the signatory to the treaty no longer exists does that mean that the debt burden Russia inherited from the Soviet Union doesn't either, because the party to whom the money was loaned is gone?
No complaints on withdrawing from the treaty.

LINKS!!!!Post your links to the nabobs bitching if ya got em!!!! I can't wait for the whine to start flowin!
Imagine, a person in DC standing up to say, "MAD is bad!"
Ironically, logical thinking in DC is probably a sign of the coming apocalypse....

Not since Reagan has a President cared to defend this nation against all. President Bush is thinking about 5, 10 years down the line. He wants to beat the North Koreans and bin laden's of the world. I think that this country should thank President Bush and probably will in 15 or 20 years...like the first time we have to use it and it works!
