Remember when Albright's bunch "lost" two laptops somewhere in Eastern Europe? The computers were not pasword protected, they contained "sensitive" files, including (allegedly) a roster of field 'assets'.
Bad enough, that they lost them, bad enough that they were unsecured, bad enough that information (possibly including the identities of intelligence operatives in eastern Europe and Southern Asia) was unprotected and loaded on.
But then, the twits advertized that the computers were missing, put out a pittance reward notice, and blabbed that there was sensitive information involved.
Instead of some kid thinking he/she had made the big find of the day, erasing all that junk off the hard drive and playing Doom, they are all out to cash in on the winning sweepstakes ticket--regardless of who the buyer is.
Is this the reason we were so short of intelligence 'assets' (personnel) in southern Asia? That the Clinton State Dept. got them killed?
The impeachment was presented as being about sex in the US press. It was--we got a royal screwing.
I guess all the hack lawyers in the Congress felt they couldn't put together a real case, so they just used the same charges the Dems used against Nixon: Obstruction of Justice and Perjury. They should have followed the whole program and run Algore out of town first. Once Americans thought about the alternative, they softened on Clinton's crimes.
