An apology might be in order. I don't hold grudges, do you?

TFTF, TGYC.
Membership in VCR is open to ALL veterans who were honorbly or medically discharged from any branch of the armed services. Members of the Board of Directors will serve 1 year terms, then stand for election or re-election on a vote of the members. Since this is still in the planning stages, I am open to any suggestions. Current planning would tend to support incorporation in Nevada, which means that we would also need a veteran who is a resident of Nevada, to act as the Statutory Agent in the state, to receive legal notices and papers from the state, and to file appropriate responses, etc..
Board members need not be residents of Nevada, and the board meetings can be held wherever the Board decides, including virtual meetings held via the internet, for those members who cannot be present in corpus.
We are hoping to be able to file the required papers just after the New Year, so if you're interested in joining in this endeavor, please let me know.
I have also started a chat room on Freedom-USA IRC network, #vcr, as a virtual boardroom, where members of VCR can meet and discuss the operation, submit suggestions for consideration of the membership, receive updates from the board of directors, etc.
If anyone has other ideas or suggestions, please let me know.
Toward FREEDOM
Now I have to learn how to use the computer (I use webtv for the most part and only know how to go into the FR yahoo chatroom on the puter) to go into "Freedom-USA IRC network"
Snow Bunny, can I impose upon you to post a link to this thread on the USO Canteen threads? Thanks in advance, and thanks for all you and billie do over there!!!
We're still looking for a veteran attorney (preferably in Nevada) who can help us with advice.
My thanks to all who have offered their services. We'll be convening a meeting of the board in the virtual boardroom on IRC soon, and I will post the announcement here or on a new thread. I look forward to working with all of FR's veterans, as we go forward with the plans I outlined in my original post.
Toward FREEDOM
Come on FReepers. We GOT to get behind THIS!!! In fact, Free Republic Network chapters, this is an EXCELLENT activism project. I'd love to see a hundred FReeper veterans, decked out in full regalia, proudly bearing our nation's charter through the streets. What a statement.
Whoever thought of this is a genius.
