Attention all FR Veterans!
Announcing: Veterans for Constitutional Restoration (VCR)
At the request of FReeper veteran dcwusmc, I am working on starting a not for profit educational organization, Veterans for Constitutional Restoration. I need 5 or 7 FR Veterans willing to join us in this endeavor to sit as a board of directors, and an FR Veteran attorney to provide legal assistance and advise in helping us incorporate and file the necessary paperwork to obtain non-profit status.
The goals of the organization are simple: an ongoing educational outreach program that will explain to and teach the people about our republican form of government, how government has over-reached and extended itself beyond its mandated limits, and what needs to be done to push government, particularly the federal government, back inside its constitutional box, and to limit it to ONLY those powers and duties specifically granted to it by the Constitution. We are asking veterans to join us in this endeavor, because of the OATH that we all took, to PROTECT and DEFEND the Constitution from ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. The task before is is daunting, but American Veterans have faced daunting tasks before, and I'm hopeful that you will step up again before we lose the Republic and all that it has stood for these past 200+ years, FREEDOM and LIBERTY.
As part of this endeavor we hope to sponsor next year, starting on Memorial Day and ending on July 4th, a Veteran's Walk Across America, to start from Philadelphia, the birthplace of the Constitution, a relay of Veterans carrying copies of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, handing them from one generation of Veterans to the next, symbolic of the passing thru generations of the trust and commitment American soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines have been given by the people of this great nation from its founding to the present day.
Additionally, and as part of our program, we hope to kick off Military and Veterans Television (MV-TV), a satellite/cable station dedicated to active members of the Military, and Veterans. This channel would have educational programming, talk TV format shows, show movies with a positive military theme, a weekly VA show, where VA administrators could explain VA benefits and how to obtain VA medical or other services, current affairs programming, explaining the CMT program and how to get involved in Civilian Marksmanship, and so on. This would be a separate entitity that would (hopefully) be profitable enough to donate to the non-profit to support it's ongoing efforts.
Toward FREEDOM
I will do what I can. It's frustrating but my abilities are limited (I used to really be a pistol!!) Let me know if there is a way I can help. It couldn't be anything on a "schedule". But maybe there is something I could do. (???)

Semper Fi
Id like to be kept abreast of this and help if I can in a state/local role.
Im afraid that the young family/old farm combination keeps me from going on any nationwide adventures...
