That's defamation, sir. Her recordings were not illegal, and you are a pig for repeating this false accusation.I was under the impression that she recorded telephone conversations without the other person's consent. That is illegal, as far as I know.
And what a pair you and I make, huh? A pig and an ass...

To put it simply, you are wrong. In certain states it is legal to tape. The Maryland DA did file charges against Linda but dropped the case because he couldn't win.

I was under the impression that she recorded telephone conversations without the other person's consent. In most states you can record your own conversations, though not third parties'. In Maryland it is a crime to record your conversations IF you KNOW about the law. It was never proven that Linda had any knowledge of this law. But with all the publicity regarding Linda/Monica, if it would be very difficult to now plead ignorance of this Maryland law.

Here in Oklahoma one can tape a conversation as long as one party in the conversation has given their permission for the taping. Means that if Linda lived in Oklahoma, it was legal for her to tape her conversations because she would have been giving her permission for she, herself, to tape it. I checked it out with about a dozen lawyers a few years ago.
