Some prayers for Old Student would be appreciated. I am not worried about myself in the least--the surgeon who is doing my C6-7 fusion is tops--but I am beginning to wonder how Bill is going to survive being completely In Charge with no help from me. Just since the >10 pound lifting ban was instituted on me, I see signs of panic in his eyes! I forecast a PBJ dinner existence for the duration. 30+ days of having a wife who can't drive, cook, clean, or tend kids is going to be very, very hard on him! For my part, I am going to strive not to be the witch the nurse predicted I'd be while wearing the big nasty plastic and metal collar thing.

Praise God! We were able to get in to see the doctor right away this morning. It was definitely an ear infection. She's on anti-biotics now for the first time in 3 years, please pray she doesn't have any adverse reaction to it, as she seems to be a sensitive sort.

Thank you for praying last night Lee, she was able to sleep shortly after you posted your reply.

”No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” (1 Cor 10:13)

Heavenly Father, the flesh sins against you constantly and justifies disobedience through insecurity, hopelessness, despair, long periods of stress, poverty, and a host of other excuses. We are all guilty of these lapses, Mighty God. Forgive us these moments when our physical forms are allowed a measure of success over our spiritual beings, and hear our cries as we realize these deceptions fostered by satan. Bring us out of our misery, and encircle us with Your loving arms. Bestow upon us the confidence in Your mercy that we had just moments before temptation struck. Strengthen us through the experience so that the next time we are tempted, we will be able to dismiss the thoughts as mere noxious vapors…without substance, true existence, or the ability to affect us in any way.

Thank You Magnificent Father, for providing an escape route for us. Thank You for allowing us to confess directly to You that we have thought some evil, or contemplated an indiscretion…for all such sincere admissions of guilt are pleasing to You. And You are ever faithful to forgive us and lift us once again out of the morass we have voluntarily placed ourselves in! Thank You, Beloved Father! Thank You Jesus for paying the price for our undisciplined nature! Thank You Holy Spirit for filling our hearts once again with the assurances that we are loved greatly by the Lord, and can never be separated from Him! In Jesus’ name I have asked these things…Amen!
