The Nobel Prize...contrary to popular opinion it is not 'bestowed'.

Had Armand Hammer lived long enough, there is a very good chance he would have received one. He, in his first attempt, obtained a Nobel nomination due to the efforts of Menachim Begin.

The use of nepotistic networks, academic cliques and, at times, even intermarriage gets these people these accolades......hustling, in other words.

P.S. Armand, named for the bloody Soviet symbol, spent a life time courting the Bolsheviks. His dad, one of the founders of the Comminist Party USA, spent time in jail for performing a deadly, botched, illegal abortion.
