To: 11th Earl of Mar
I watched the vote. Two Republicans from what I could tell: Arlen Sphincter and George Voinovich of Ohio (surprised me, too.) Most of the "yes, let's allow our military personnel to be tried by Syrian judges" votes were people like Daschle.

A strange side note: Even Hitlery Clinton voted with Helms. Weird.

Maybe Hillary is worried about being extradited to a foreign land, either for crimes she has commited or or crimes she is planning to commit.

Perhaps she is trying to clean up her history of chastising anything military; softening her activist image; for whatever reason, you can bet your sweet life she voted for reasons pertaining to self!

Voinovich is a moderate Republican, if an unconventional one. A tax-hiker and major squish on economic issues, he does stand out on moral issues, remaining pro-life and voting to convict Bill Clinton in 1999.
