There are "no charges" YET! These are the first guys who are going to find themselves in front of a secret military tribunal. One of them has already started talking - he asked for asylum, and the judge is taking action with respect to that request.

The bail asked look like that was in consequence of a request for asylum. Still didn't get the guy out of jail, but you can bet money they relocated him to someplace without any Arabs!

Naming the informant is no big deal. And, who says he waited 6 weeks? Did you ever try to use a moden to log onto America's Most Wanted website? You'll never get there. I suspect he made his first report to someone somewhere within a week of the first anthrax case being reported.

Then, how do we know the name reported for the informant is his real name? The reporter tried mightily to put together a highly complex story. Not only that, every single element of it conflicted with her most firm beliefs - namely that this was a series of attacks taking place over a period of weeks, and that the attackers were all blue-eyed blond members of the Michigan militia, and they listened to right wing radio all the time.

Must have been a stomach wrenching thing for her.

If the bail is being set at $12,000 for one of the suspects, he can't be involved.

In 1993! They just never caught him after he "disappeared" into the general Pak/Muslim "community". That's a common ploy to get into the country. Ask for asylum and while you are waiting for the hearing, just disappear and blend in. Surprised they ever found him.
