The Bush grimace comes from the heart.
This guy really burns me! He talks about "symbols of unity", I bet his liberal brain wouldn't see or even trust a real symbol of American unity if it stood up and slapped his face. I would like to show this to the Marines in country now and let them have a shot at old Wolffy when they rotate back home.
What a left wing, liberal stooge!

The Clintonista liberals are imploding one by one - they simply cannot take patriotism and unity for very long, as both neuter their political methodologies of cynicism and divisiveness.

Don't worry - his head will explode soon.

What is this idiot's problem? Build and bridge and get over it already.

Does this guy have a chip on this shoulder or what??? Did he see Bush at his town hall meeting? Sorry, Michael, you've got Bush pegged ALL WRONG. The people love him because he is genuine, real, and happy. It seems to me that he is the most optimistic politician out there. Just look at the travel industry commercials. This guy must live under a rock. What a dip.

No biggie. W doesn't need this clown's vote anyway. Now that he's had his snit, the author can go crawl back in his little hole along with James Carville, Robert Reich and everyone else who's now utterly irrelevant.

It looks like the liberal left can't keep a lid on it for more than a few weeks.

I agree copletely! The cynicism of Mr.Wolff and his fellow Clintonistas is palpable!!A dose of "Good Old-Fashioned Patriotism"is beyond his understanding!!!He can't(for his cynicism)understand it at all!!!!
To: BobP
This is so ludicrous it can only have the opposite effect of that intended.

"His[Bush's] affect is unrelieved grimness".
Over 3000 people died 9/11.
Reality does not exist in the author's utopian idealistic world.....discount him..

This one is actually pretty funny. Real critism of Bush would have SOME element of truth, but this is so far off on the Planet Nebula that even the Millenium Falcon couldn't bring this air-head back.
The real question is, is the strategy of having the lieutenants (Card, O'Neill, Ashcroft) take the heat always a wise one? Should the president remain "above the fray?"
It's a fine line, but at some point (maybe Racicot's appointment is the signal) Bush is going to have to REALLY get his hands dirty in politics. The Mary Berry idiocy is a good place to start, but sooner or later he is going to have to show the libs who is boss, and NOT just who is the national leader. The "good father" is going to have to get out the belt.

What continually strikes me about these left-wing opinionators ( Dowd & Clift come to mind as well ) is how childish they all sound.
It's like listening to a list of grievances from a 5-year old....

Did he see Bush at his town hall meeting? I'm betting he did, which is why he's so upset. Doncha know that the Clinton people desperately want Bill Clinton to be the most popular, well liked president in the history of this country? They really think he is the ONLY good president we've ever had.
It must be killing them that people actually LIKE George W. Bush and that we've been almost eleven months with no ONE hint of scandal!

He's the unappealing uncle -- with his cold eye on you -- whose house you're stuck at this holiday season. While you're trying to shut out his existence, everybody else is sucking up to him.
I cant relate to this writer. Most of the people in my family actually like each other, and nobody sucks up to anybody.
Poor kid must have had a damn miserable childhood full of losers and scumbags. Why does that always make one a liberal?

What is he feeling, or trying to tell us he's feeling? What does he want us to feel? What's the message?Do I have to even say it? Liberals really suck, don't they?

These liberals kill me. They write long articles lamenting how they can't criticize the president and go ahead and do so in the most personal of terms.
Hypocrits of the highest order. What bothers them is that they have burning hatred for Bush (and any other Republican or conservative) and it kills them that almost nobody else feels it.
To: Howlin
No doubt. I didn't even get far enough to read that statement that you highlighted. That is just pathetic. This sad boy is looking for emotional direction from a man he knows only from his television.
I honestly kinda feel sorry for him. What a worthless broken shell.

This article was very funny, although humor was not it's intent.

Obviously this columnist needs some sugar on the grapes he is eating-I think they were picked too early....or maybe we should offer him a nice gouda to go with that whine.
