I would still push for the nuke inspections and then test the waters to see if Saddam will comply and then go to the international bodies to see if there is the go-ahead.(if they are worried about the allies)

This is bogus. Wolfowitz is deputy Secretary of Defense, not State. Someone's got their facts all messed up.

Et tu, puer, propheta Altissimi vocaberis:
praeibis enim ante faciem Domini parare vias eius,
ad dandam scientiam salutis plebi eius
in remissionem peccatorum eorum,
per viscera misericordiae Dei nostri,
in quibus visitabit nos oriens ex alto,
illuminare his, qui in tenebris et in umbra mortis sedent,
ad dirigendos pedes nostros in viam pacis .

the next target may be Indonesia. Let's think about this a moment. Now I know there are those that say 9/11 "changed everything" and such, but we need to maintain limited objectives if we want to be successful. The objective should be to get Osama bin Laden and his top aides that are likely at his side in Afghanistan. Then that should be it, come home, and repeal the USA Patriot Act and all of the goodies that the FBI got. America really should not attempt a worldwide crusade with country after country on its list, and I fear W. may be doing just that. If he really goes through with this "ridding the world of evil" stuff, America will at war perpetually. What will that do to us as a nation, at home, over the long term?

I don't know if the post is confused, correct, wrong, or otherwise.
I do know that Iraq can be controlled or contained by means short of war and probably not the same ones pioneered by bill clinton.
The next target in any war on terrorism must be some place where terrorists are known to be protected and can be identified and nailed.
Somalia perhaps. Indonesia because they are above ground. The PI because they are visible and the government would welcome the help and maybe allow for some raproachment.
Not Iraq where we've had years to target them while dancing around with the silly measures adopted after the Gulf War.

"Trixie" is a handle used by Lucianne Goldberg, and she hasn't been close to power in Washington, D.C. since her days in the Lyndon B. Johnson WH of shame.

Believe me, we've got 63,000 reasons to go after Indonesia first.

Iraq can be put on the table as fast as it can be taken off the table.....

Wolfowitz walked out of the decision meeting absolutely furious,
Good, shows just what a team player this prima donna isn't. Let's hope he does something good for AMERICA and resigns in a snit....or hope that maybe GW will do the smart thing and demand his resignation.
He seems to have been the one man band for action against Iraq since September 12th, even before any evidence of Iraqi involvement. He overstepped his bounds on more than one occasion to the point where Chenney had to smack him down for recklessly shooting from the lip.

I could go along with putting the lean on Indonesia. A lot of commercial shipping passes through the Strait of Malacca, especially oil tankers (I think about roughly a quarter of the world's trade, IIRC). Getting a base or two there would be most helpful when dealing with China.
