When I was a teenager (18) I hauled 100's of "bombs" (anti-tank missiles) from point A to point B, and thousands of rounds of ammunition - all before lunch. And after lunch my sargent would find something else to keep me out of trouble.

IMHO these boys had to much free time - like most kids. We should throw most of them out of school at 16 and tell them to get apprenticships and become real men and women. How long can we infantilize our young men and women AND lock them up in those amazingly pointless institutions like most high schools and not expect them to go nuts. Idle hands are the Devil's workshop.

I'll grant you that it could be done, I just don't think it very likely. And sure the kids had too much time on their hands + no morality. But given the witness statements, the sophistication of their plot, the fact that the Jefferson County SWAT teams were in their own words, "outgunned," IMHO, the plot was carried out with adult help.

Can 2 teenagers really outgun a SWAT team???
