United States got hold of Texas in a manner not nearly so fair and open as the creation of Israel...

The difference is that Texas became a state at the request of the people living there. And when they became a state the people living there became citizens of the United States. I don't see either case being true with the occupied territories.

Take out Arafat, we kill one part of the snake. Take out Bin Laden, we eliminate the other.

It's really that simple.

Nothing is that simple. The movement of those who would in the future potentially plan and execute terrorist attacks has to be thwarted. Those of us who were (and are) so upset about the US/NATO support of the KLA (Albanian and other Muslim terrorists) want a stop to financing these nutcases in their actions. The idea that somehow the west will benefit from their activities and they can be controlled with Western money and support is arrogant and dumb.

"The difference is that Texas became a state at the request of the people living there."

Ah, yes, but now you're splitting hairs. By what manner did Texas gain its "independence" from Mexico? By what manner did the US gain territory in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Nevada? By lottery?

The United States took that land from Mexico. Right now, there are Hispanic groups (LULAC comes to mind) advocating that Mexico take back that land or that Hispanics living in those areas carve out Aztlan, a Hispanic homeland, in the southwest.

When they decide to imitate the Palestinians and begin to set off explosives in San Antonio along the Riverwalk, when the Alamo is destroyed for being a symbol of Gringo oppression, when tour buses, trains, and trucks in those areas began to be attacked by the Aztlan Liberation Organization, we'll really see how pissed off Americans can become.

And since that's a given ... why the hypocrisy over Israel doing the same thing?

Someone who wasn't sure which target to hit, finally heading for Fort Detrick. It is my understanding that there were other planes and several targets on the agenda, but some of the planes that were supposed to be hijacked never made it off the runways.

But again the United States granted citizenship to the people living there. Are you suggesting that Israel will do the same to the Palestinians in the Occupied Territories?

Excellent point! He told them to wipe them out or they would forever be a thorn in their side. Let's not forget how the arabs came to exist, also. Through disobedience or lack of faith in G-d's promise to Abraham,he decided to do a little sumpin' sumpin' with his wife's hand maiden. Then there was Ishmael, and on and on the story goes. Imagine their jealousy of the Jewish people, knowing they came to be from an adulterous affair. Not that I care about what they think or feel!

Oak Hay . . . If I don't blow myself to smithereens inside a crowded shopping mall, how else will I immediately thereafter be able to flounce around in an X-rated Islamic Paradise with 72 sexy virgins, 28 young and beautiful homosexual boys, plus unlimited water, wine and wealth???

Are you telling me that Mohammed's promise of an Islamic Paradise that glitters with the fulfillment of all sorts of wordly desires and sensual enjoyment was nothing but a sinister ploy to recruit the ignorant who never had any hope or expectation of ever getting these things in their present lives???

Yes, yes, that's what I'm saying. . . because their belief that they are assured of such a Paradise simply because they follow Islam drives Muslims to go around committing murder, rape, plunder and loot. It is the mental picture of this paradise that has motivated Muslims over the many centuries. . . to cut down people of other religions, to desecrate their places of worship, and irrationally mistreat them, all in the name of who??? Allah, of course !!!

But alas... the spritually deprived Mohammed, pretender Prophet of Islam, could NOT see beyond wine, women and food . . . hence, exploring the true spiritual heights of the soul was impossible for Mohammed !!!

Oh, what the hell. . . I'm gonna blow myself up anyway. . . because taxes have now skyrocketed to the point where I can't even afford to buy a pack of cigarettes. . . so I can slowly smoke myself to death !!!

Not in the least. I'm of the belief that our biggest mistake was NOT removing all Mexican citizens from the territories captured and forcing them back into Mexico proper.

I am also of the opinion that we should have completed the eradication of the Indian cultures when we had the chance as well.

Make of that what you will.

The Palestinians would have gotten a country already, ... had they been able to forget the fact that what they really want is all the Jews in Israel dead and their heads placed on spikes all along the border. You have to stand in awe of a hatred so hard and bitter you'd send your kids out to blow themselves up, just to give the hatred its daily exercise.

I like someone who can sum it up as well as this.

I find it puzzling, though I try to ask myself how I'd feel if my grandfather fled the country where his family had dwelled for hundreds of years, leaving his land and possessions to be claimed by others. Then I remember, oh yeah, my grandfather did flee the country where his family had dwelled for hundreds of years: Poland. He fled, and those who stayed were slaughtered, every man, woman and child. And you know what? I don't want the family farm in Bialystok back.

Heh heh heh...

(I know Palestinians believe the Holocaust never happened, but we're fairly convinced. Nobody from the Polish side of the family shows up at reunions)

LOL!! Yeah...

We've learned a secret-life is precious and short, and hatred only consumes the haters, sometimes literally, in a deafening flash.

Those who move on succeed. Those who stay stewing in hatred, be it African-Americans who make a career of hating whites, or Arabs who make a career of hating Jews, don't. Yeah, I don't want the family shack in Ireland back either.

Well, man, it seems the more things change, the more they stay the same. And the harder it is for people of today to see the major differences on the actions of those guided by *Manifest Destiny* compared to ANY situation in this day and time. There was no reason...NONE, that white people coming from distant shores, upon finding a peaceful people willing to help them and share with them on THEIR land, lacked the Christian conscience they claimed for themselves, and committed genocide for no other reason than they wanted it all...and no matter how much the Natives gave, it was never enough.
In many ways, their destruction has been worse than death. It was never deserved nor warranted. And I'm afraid I don't understand your attitude.

And there you see. It measured precisely. The plane took off and then it continued West and then there were phone calls and then it turned East and then it crashed.

Which proves beyond a shadow of a doubt: the Jews did it.

This was a cinch to prove. Not like when the frozen strawberries went missing. Where are my balls?

You scored again, Skunk.

Some pictures are worth a thousand words. Others are priceless. There was once a tribe of people who laid children on the fiery red glowing hot arms of metal idols. They are not around anymore. Nor are any of their descendants for they were EXTERMINATED on God's orders. How are these Palestinians any different from that ancient tribe?

If you had the original quote from Telchi Lehazazel you could prove your case. Search for it. It's worth your time.

The Israeli Army, as per tradition, kicked their collective butts. It took Gaza and the West Bank and Sinai and would have rolled into Cairo and done the hora around the pyramids, but with an eye toward future relations, pulled up short.

Not exactly...
The US, with the threat of withdrawing continued arms support and replacement as needed, forbad the Israelis from continuing to Cairo, indeed, from crossing the Suez Canal.

In retrospect, a monumental mistake.

We might have had a secular Egypt now had they been allowed to kick further butt.
