"Virginia has received a commitment from Randy Hand, a 6-6, 305-pound offensive tackle from Estero High School in Florida. Hand just completed his official visit to Virginia this morning. Hand chose Virginia over North Carolina, Florida, Miami and Michigan. Hand had mentioned in the media recently that he was unhappy with the Florida schools pressuring him to commit. His two favorites were UVa and UNC. Hand is rated as a four-star recruit and listed #8 nationally at his position by Rivals100.com. With several offensive linemen graduating from UVa this spring, Hand will have the opportunity to produce right away."
