"Here Was A Man"
(To be spoken--Johnny Cash-like--over a lonely keyboard version of "Joy to the World")
"Here was a man...a man who was born in a small village, the son of a peasant woman. He grew up in another small village. Until He reached the age of thirty, He worked as a carpenter; then, for three years, He was a travelling minister. But He never travelled more than two hundred miles from where He was born, and where He did go, He usually walked. He never held political office, He never wrote a book, He never bought a home, He never had a family, He never went to college, and He never set foot inside a big city, yet...here was a man.
Here was a man...though He never did one of those things that you usually associate with greatness, He had no credentials but Himself. He had nothing to do with this World, except through the Divine Purpose that brought Him to this World.
While He was still a young man, the Tide of Popular Opinion turned against Him. Most of His FRiends ran away...one of them denied Him, one of them betrayed Him and turned Him over to his Enemies. Then, He went through the mockery of a Trial and was nailed to a Roman Cross between two thieves. And even while He was dying, His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had in this World, and that was His robe, His Purple Robe. When He was dead, He was taken down from the cross and laid in a borrowed grave, provided by a compassionate FRiend.
More than Nineteen Centuries have come and gone, and today He's the Centerpiece of the Human Race, Our Leader, and the Column to Human Destiny. And I think I'm well within the mark when I say that All of the Armies that Ever Marched, All of the Navies that Ever Sailed, All of the Legislative Bodies that Ever Sat, and All of the Kings that Ever Reigned...All of Them Put Together have not affected the Life of Man on this Earth so Powerfully as that One Solitary Life...
Here was a man."
I heard on Drudge last night very late on the radio that Dan Burton is really getting upset with President Bush because of not forcing Ashcroft to turn the things over to Dan Burton and his investigation and that MANY others on the investigation committee are getting ticked off too with Bush wanting to move on.I have not checked Drudge's site but he may have an article there about it not sure.
I REALLY like Bush, but
Why isn't he allowing Ashcroft to do what he should, why isn't Ashcroft doing what he should about Clinton.I just keep trying to understand the 'why' of it.
I was always taught by my Dad that the Office itself of the President is bigger then the man that is in it, that it should be held to the highest integrity and honor there can be. That no one is above the law, no one.
Bush does not need the money so it can't be he is being paid off, Bush does not seem to be a man to have to worry about being blackmailed about anything so that can't be it.The only thing I can think it could be will probably be taken as tin foil hat stuff. What if it is the Tri-lateral or the Luminati telling Bush don't go near what Clinton did in any way.Does that sound like a movie or could that be why.
I am not a nut case.LOL..... but there has to be a reason, are Presidents like lawyers and doctors that never like to go after each other and turn each other in for wrong things????? Like a code of conduct ...don't mess with a brother...kind of thing????????
We should be angry at ALL traitors not just the John Walkers, and Rosenbergs of the world. But all that committ treason to America no matter what level they are, no matter what power they have or position.
Thank you for all that you do.
Huge question. Yes indeed, when will there be a formal Chinagate investigation and when will Terry McAuliffe be investigated for his many felonies!!
It has been a fight going on for years and for now the cash hogs have the helm. The RNC can afford to stress ideology since the backbone of the Republican Party is cash heavy...for every Perot and Forbes there are 20 more waiting in the wings...and they don't care what the ideology is...they just want in on the gravy train.
Once the Democratic leadership learned how to feed its stalwarts and collect the rewards, then it was time to cut off the RNC supply.
Round and round and it all stinks.
Do we have the evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the campaign contributions were bribes for export waivers?
The contributions were not illegal on their face. In fact it would be unusual if a major company's PAC , officers and shareholders did not make contributions to officerholders who shared their business philosophies. Maybe we should ammend the constitution to prohibit officers and shareholders of companies that seek export waivers from making political contributions.
Is there a tape or signed memo that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that the contributions were specifically made in exchange for waivers? Or can McAullife claim that the contributions were made because Clinton shared their opinion of what types of waivers were appropriate? Or even that they made the contributions in hope that they would influence Clinton to give more favorable consideration to their request for waivers.
Remember that the investigations concluded that it was entirely within the President's discretion to grant the waivers, regardless of how unwise they were.
Can you show us the smoking gun that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that there was an explicit quid-pro-quo of contributions for waivers? Maybe a video tape or telephone tap tape, or memo, email, letter, or other document wherein McAullife says that a waiver will be granted in exchange for a contribution of X number of dollars?
Usually people don't put bribes in writting or on tape.
What specific evidence of quid-pro-quo do we have at this time?

Good start...few questions, though?
Is Toto the Massachusetts Congressman Barney..?? who housed the little twinkie prostitute, Stephen Gobey?! What could a gay Congressman and a shaggy dog have in common, I wonder? You'll have to explain that one, TO.

BTW...the 'Vette ran like a champ.
That old jalopy's a lot like the people I've known in my life, Mud.
She's let me down when I least expected, & came through when I thought she'd fail.
...there's nothing like a good ol' fashioned Chevrolet L82 small block; so help me God. ;^)
Actually, since the Vast, LeftWing Medyuh Whore'd told me that our POTUS had no brain, I figgered Dubyuh could be the Scarecrow.
"Tinman....? (no heart) Jim Jeffords"
Nawww...no heart?! Gotta be Limbaugh.
"Lion....? (No Courage) Senate Republicans (pick one, any one)"
Now yer cookin', my FRiend...Trent Lott shall be our Cowardly Lion...demonstrating a clear lack of spine early in the flick, but demonstrating clear, unmistakable Courage in the Re-Impeachment Trial. I really liked the scene where Sen. Lott whupped D'A$$#ole's Slick-lickin' BUTT!!
"Dorothy....? Lady Liberty"
That'll work...and Lady "Equal"Justice!! To me, the two are inseparable!!
"Wizard of Oz....? Dick Morris (He knows everything!)"
Mr. Mellon-Scaife asked if he could be the Wiz...and since he's payin' the freight, well, you understand....

Good choice, TO, but I'm goin' with "Snow Bunny" as a composite representation of the perfect FReeperGal!!
"The Munchkins....? Robert Reichhhhhhhh, Donna Shalaaaay-La, and Georgie Snuffalotofus."
LMAO(BNROF)!! This is tooo perfect to change, but I think the Munchkins are all these meaningless folks--like me--in "Flyover Country."
"The HildaBeast's Flying Monkeys....? Helen Thomas, Patricia Ireland, Cynthia McKinney..."
Great start, but you left out Dan Rather-Biased, WhoreAldo, Peter "I HATE AMERICA" Jennings, and the NBC-ClintonButtBoy, what's-his-name BrokeJaw...LOL, the list can go on and on, there were a lot of Flying Monkeys!!!

FReegards...MUD
Not all people you've known, I'm sure. Seems to me, when I expect good things from folks, eventually--remember, I'm an extraordinarily patient dude--they come through when I really, really need them to!!
FReegards...MUD
