Netanyahu had an older brother.
In 1973, when Bibi was studying at MIT, his brother Yonatan (Yoni) led an elite anti-terrorist unit in the IDF. (Think Israeli Delta Force.)
They were deployed on many missions, the most famous being the raid on Entebbe Uganda where Red Army Faction (West German commies) and PFLP had landed a hijaked airliner.
The terrorists had killed most of the Jews on the plane and were threatening to shoot all o fthe American and European hostages unless Israel surrended imprisoned terrorists.
Instead, then PM Meir ordered the raid.
The terrorist had chosen the location poorly. The airport had been built by Israelis, and the IDF had trained to take it. The attack was a success. The terrorists were killed or neutralized. I believe that one hostage was killed as was one of the rescuers, Maj. Netanyahu.
Ironically, the man who next led the IDF anti-terrorist unit was Ehud Barak, who with Clinton's help won an election against Netanyahu.
