It's been a GREAT first two days for the FReepathon. California is in the lead, with Texas close behind. Additionally, only 7 States (and that FReeloading Government District) are in the sissy pink -- which will change soon, hopefully.

Enough of my mindless chatter. Here's what you've all been waiting for -- the State Scoreboard!

Freepathon State Scoreboard

This scoreboard displays how much each of the united States, Government Districts, Territories, Possessions, and other nations have contributed to the Freepathon. (Contrary to what you might think, foreign nations actually do contribute lots of cash...more than some of the States!)

Here are the rules: When you donate to Free Republic (can be done via secure server here, or by a postal address to follow), include your state of origin. When BADJOE posts your donation on the thread with your state, it will be credited to your state in subsequent updates of the list. (Your name or screenname is never revealed by us.) All donations without a location will be credited to the Unknown State, and all states with zero donations from residents of that state will be marked in sissy pink. Requests to put your state, of any donation status, on the sissy pink list will be honored. Foreign countries are granted "diplomatic immunity" from the sissy pink treatment.

Numbers in parenthesis - ( ) - are the number of FReepers who have claimed this location in their FR profile. This in NO WAY reflects the total number of registered FReepers.

The top five ranked states get their state's name in any color they choose. Pending color selection, the top five ranked states will get interim colors picked by me, to make it look nice. If you want to change it, just ask, and it will on the next update of the list.

Clikker, thanks for the hard work in compiling the 'list'.

Now a question; did you count 'never-never land' for Vermont? My gut feel from scanning the threads the last two days was that Vermont had more contributions than what you have us in for, and not counting never-never land as Vermont could explain that.

Here's the "Per-FReeper" listing... but let me include some disclaimers. This list does not include countries. It is calculated simply by taking the data from the state totals list, and dividing the total contributions by the number of FReepers that fly that particular state flag. (You can check up on me simply by dividing clikker's totals and dividing each state by the number of FReepers listed.) This list is not meant to to be 100% accurate (many FReepers donate for other states for many reasons, and many FReepers do not fly their state flag). We may also award totals from the 'unknown' category in a competition or two to make the thread even more interesting. I'm just trying to keep the competition flowing, and using state pride and state-competition to increase donations. Also, the smaller states have a chance to compete with California and Texas! =^)

Please remember that we're doing this to support FR. It's all in fun.
