I was a lurker - found my current news here along with comments and personal interpretations, enjoyed the chat on some threads, laughed at political cartoons, etc. etc. etc. It never occurred to me to lend support.

Then I registered and WOOHOO what a ride it's been. Fun! But my first Freepathon came along and I found out how much money it takes to keep this popular site going. Come on, fellow LURKERS, can you give something to help maintain our favorite conservative news place? Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated, promise you.

Carpet bombing is a method to get attention to the fundraiser. We write a post scolding people for being a freeploader. Ask them to donate to FR, and post it on every thread. It takes a long time to do. Last fundraiser was so successful we were going to use this technique again. We didn't have all the 'I hate freepers' posting on the site like this time. It is causing a backlash! LOL! Also, John's nifty new banner across the latest posts page is getting a lot of attention. Last fundraiser, Badjoe was so busy keeping up with the contributions his fingers were getting sore. It looks like he's as busy right now!
