Nice try, but *you* were the first one to inject the issue of race into this thread -- there was no mention of racial issues here before *you* chose to introduce it, by making a point of saying that the young Sudanese man had a "white girlfriend".

Then when several people questioned just why you chose to make an issue of the the interracial aspect of the couple (it looked mighty odd to me, too), now you come back with, "hey, don't bring race into this..."

You set up the "game", now you're running away from it.

Would you or would you not feel differently if the Sudanese boy had a black girlfriend instead of a white one? Why or why not?

Play the race card = inquiry as to whether you have a race bias?

Not the standard definition of the phrase, yet I certainly grant you the right to avoid the question.
