What about epilepsy (suffered by many very creative people such as Dostoyevsky)?
Interesting about the pyramids, but what would be the point of burying the deceased Pharaoh in them if they were primarily communications devices? Do your sources indicate that all the othger pyramids around the world had similar functions?
I myself don't believe in human evolution of any kind since Creation by God, so would not be likely to believe such an argument. But it is fun reading.
Privyet! I am no expert on pyramids, but until I hear otherwise I assume they served more than one function. They had smooth facing stones and golden or at least gold-covered tips which glowed permanently as I noted so I assume they served some sort of a bicameral/religious purpose.
You might think they'd chosen the most massive and stable architectural form possible to bury kings in since they were concerned that recurring catastrophes might destroy ordinary burial structures. The only real problem is that it's hard to picture one of the things getting built in the lifetime of any one king.
Other than that, again until somebody proves otherwise, I would assume that the blocks for the things were poured on site and that nobody tried to carve that many blocks that size, and it is entirely possible that the ancient egyptians had some kind of science for dealing with stone which surpasses our own, in other words, it might actually be the case that some of the diorite vases we find were poured.
