Carville coming to see about helping PR campaign

By Janine Zacharia November, 29 2001

WASHINGTON (November 29) - James Carville, the Democratic strategist who helped Ehud Barak defeat Binyamin Netanyahu in the 1999 prime ministerial race, left for Israel yesterday, where he will meet with people who want him to help improve the country's image in the US, a source close to him said yesterday.

Carville is expected to stay only through the weekend. No contracts have been signed yet.

"He is talking to more people who are interested in helping Israel with its image here. Nothing has started yet," the source said.

Carville has recently been approached by Israelis and Americans to help launch a new public relations initiative. Public opinion polls conducted in the US since September 11 have shown American support for Israel remains strong.

But since the terrorist attacks, the perception that Osama bin Laden is somehow motivated by America's support for Israel has mounted, and many Jewish Americans have expressed concern about growing anti-Israel sentiment.

Carville came to prominence in the early 1990s when he ran Bill Clinton's campaign for the presidency. He was immortalized in a popular documentary film, The Boiler Room. Since, he has written books and appeared in commercials. He is married to Republican political strategist and media personality Mary Matalin.

The method to the madness to hiring a Carville is that Israel's "PR problems" arise from the American Left, in particular from the Leftists in the "journalism" and entertainment nexus. Being an liberal himself (albeit of the opportunistic variety), Carville could presumably develop themes and messages which would appeal to his comrades.

The problems with hiring a Carville are that he will attempt to reshape Israeli policy to fit the "spin" he may devise, and that he will defeat the intent of the operation by publicly revealing (and boasting about) his contributions to the PR campaign.

Regarding Afghanistan cave dwellers . . .

Since 1953 the name "Piltdown" hasn't been associated with great scientific discovery, but great scientific fraud. It was in that year that a group of scientists, lead by Kenneth Oakley, attempted to use the new method of fluorine testing to get a more exact date on the bones. What the test showed surprised them: The jaw was modern, the skull only six hundred years old!!!

Additional analysis soon confirmed the fluorine tests. The jaw was really that of an orangutan. It had been filed down and parts that might have suggested it's simian origin were broken off. Both pieces had been treated to suggest great age!!!

Piltdown was proclaimed genuine by several of the most brilliant British scientists of the day. How did these faked fragments of bone fool the best scientific minds of the time??? Perhaps the desire to be part of a great discovery blinded those charged with authenticating it!!!

Since 1953 the name "Piltdown" hasn't been associated with great scientific discovery, but today, thanks to the never ending scholarly work of FReepers, and other loyal George W. Bush supporters, an amazing archaeological breakthrough has been brought to light before the unsuspecting American people. Piltdown has once again been found, this time by scientific genius GeekDejure, who has discovered TWO "LIVE" specimens crawling around from city to city. One is masquerading as Osama Bin Laden, the other as James Carville !!!

Watch for them in Afghanistan caves, and thus rediscover "Piltdown" for yourself!!!

I'm amazed anyone would pay SnakeHead for his advice anymore (other than DNC morons, that is....)

He may have gotten Bebe N. elected, but Bebe N. also got booted out in record time. SnakeHead also had a major role in backing the failed campaign of that candidate who lost to President Vicente Fox.

CarVILE is as fresh as tuna noodle casserole sitting in a trash can for a week. I just hope he's visible in the 2004 elections--he's good at turning out "broken glass Republicans" on election day.

I doubt Americans will see this report, but the rest of the world will.

The American media is too PC controlled. Even the Israeli press has more freedom to disclose un-PC facts. Americans can't be trusted with the un-PC facts. They have to be manipulated and spoon-fed pablum.

. . . a Canadian program called Witness. The reporters working on the West Bank have been videotapeing the Israeli Army shooting reporters. All of them have been shot numerous times by the IDF with rubber bullets altered to contain a steel core and live ammo. We're not talking a few reporters, we're talking all of them: ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, Reuters, Agent France Press - I mean everyone including some Israeli reporters. . .

Unbeeeeelievable! Are tapes available? What station?

What do you make of the buss bombing today? Does Arafat ANY control/credibility anymore? It's time for Arafat to surrender power (one way or another) . . . the region deserve better than Sharon AND Arafat.

The Documentary Lady, do you suppose veronica, lent, dennisw et al are on the phone to Israel attempting to scuttle the Carvile "assist"? They seem to be speechless - except in ronnie's case. She seems to like the idea of Carvile shilling for Israel! Unbeeeeelievable!!!!!

Gee nice little tale you spun.

You watch that program with your 'Klan' buddies?

Oh well we'll never know.

After all the American press just lies. LOL...

Sharon was elected because of the failure of the "peacemakers". Arafat is popular because of his ability to say one thing to the west and another to his people.

IMHO, it will not change. This is only the beginning. The "best" is yet to come.

Unbeeeeelievable!!!!

Like I said, start going to 'meetings' again. You are verging on hysterics.

Mary Matalin could be very helpful to Israel. Cheney is very pro-Israel, and Mary might get some very interesting feedback from her hubby.

Israel is doing something right. Sharon is being feted at the WH next week while Arafat still cools his heels.

LOL.

Settle down. I know you don't "hate Israel" you only despise her and are fond of posting negative stories about Israel. I'm here and nothing in this story bothers me. Why should it be upsetting? Carville is a mouthpiece. He shilled the first time successfully for Barak. Maybe the Labour Party wants him back or maybe an ad campaign of some sort. Settled down, recover from your hysterics, and then go visit a nice Palestinian "museum":

Associated Press

Palestinian students walk under a replica of a Sbarro pizza restaurant sign, which reads "Kosher" in Hebrew, during the opening of an exhibition at Al Najah University in the West Bank town of Nablus, Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, to commemorate one year since renewed violence broke out between Israelis and the Palestinians. The Sbarro section of the exhibition, replete with body parts and pizza slices strewn across the room, is a replica of the Aug. 9 Sbarro suicide bombing which killed 15 Israelis and thebomber in Jerusalem. I predict America will attack Israel within five minutes of Carville's visit. Carville would besmirch the image of the Tooth Fairy, that is if she was stupid enough to hire him to speak up for her.

They create bloody exhibits to memorialize terrorist acts? There will only be peace in Israel when every one of these peace loving Muslims are terminated. You can't convince someone to stop a hate that deep.

" The Committee to Protect Journalists and other organizations lobbying on behalf of journalists have documented 40 shootings in the past year. They have been pressing the Israeli government to investigate but so far only a handful of the cases have been. However, last July (2001), Daniel Seaman who runs the Israeli government office that oversees foreign press conceded there was a problem and faced reporters. In his statement he said: "Threats, injury or harm to members of the media whether intentional or by error are unacceptable. The State of Israel regrets any injuries caused to journalists as a result of actions by our forces or by individuals within our forces."

Witness CBC.ca

---------------------------------------------

The good thing about Israeli democracy is that even in the midst of the Intifada they respond. So settle down.

I'll tell you what though. I don't believe these characters. They likely expressly go in harms way to become martyrs for Allah. Hahaha:

"Palestinian camermen, Mazen Dana and Nael Shyoukhi live and work in the West Bank city of Hebron. They work for the British News Agency, Reuters and the pictures they take in their own backyards are seen on television sets around the world. They say they, and other Palestinians working for international news agencies, are the target of Israeli guns. Dana says he's been shot so many times in the past decade, he's lost count. While they serve competing networks, they try to protect each other. One way they do that is to turn their cameras on each other whenever one of them is shot. As a result, they have amassed a private video archive documenting the shootings and other incidents."

--------------------------------------------------

Also, to those of you who don't know. CBC is a left-wing Government owned, propaganda piece for the politically correct.

It was a documentary shown by the CBC. CBC likes left-wing causes and politically correct crap. Secondly, you'll get more self-analysis from Israel because it's a democracy then you'll ever get out of you favourite Islamic hell-holes.
