'Witchcraft' Murders Cast A Gruesome Spell

In his mind's eye, the image of what Jose Antonio Serra saw in a burned patch of jungle on the Amazon's edge is still chillingly fresh -- not because the murder happened just seven weeks ago, but because there are some things a father can never forget.

What he found, a short walk from his family's mud hut, were the remains of his 13-year-old son: a figure on its knees, head buried in the dirt, genitals and middle figure removed with cuts that looked almost surgical. In shock, Serra noticed an odd detail: The mutilated body looked diminished, even shrunken. Then he noticed the gash in the boy's jugular vein, and realized that his blood had been drained.

Your a nut case.

Thank you for sharing. I am glad to see our feelings about each other are mutual.

"You may judge a tree by its fruit."

And telling non-believers/scoffers that their father is Satan is going to produce fruit?

Some of those most violently opposed to God have become the strongest professors of the faith. I shudder to think what you would've said to Paul/Saul before his conversion.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galations 5:22-23

Which one of those "fruits" fits with calling someone the son of Satan?

You seem to be very confused. If you have a problem it is with Jesus and His words. Take it up with Him. Do you believe in the bible? Or just a part of it?

This is amazing. I thought I was reading an article on witchraft murders in Brazil, then I start reading posts, and find out it's really about Harry Potter.

However, I will comment on the actual article. This sort of thing gives lie to the liberal notion that "We're all alike, we're all brothers and sisters under the skin. All we have to do is love each other and understand each other, and we will have peace and prosperity all over the world." I do not believe that there is a moral equivalency among all cultures.

You seem to be very confused.

Not in the least. I'm not the one who set myself up as Mr. Vega's (or anyone's) eternal judge.

You seem to think you have that authority. And it appears that I'll be next to stand before the MSCASEY throne of judgment.

I should state, before some raving idiots claim I support witchcraft, that I do not suport nor believe in witchcraft.

Thank you

The article states that the boy's body was drained of blood. What do you suppose the black magic practitioners do with it?

Coincidentally, Voldemort, the chief practitioner of black magic in HP drinks the blood of a unicorn to gain some kind of power.

And everyone knows that Voldemort is supposed to be the hero of the book, not the villain.

You forgot to mention that the "sacrifice" was not performed by God, the sacrifice was God, in the form of a man. If you understand the trinity (as well as a human mind can) then you know that Jesus was 100% God and 100% man.

Another VERY IMPORTANT point you failed to mention, was that Jesus went to the cross VOLUNTARILY. Scriptures say He could have called the hosts of heaven to His aid, but He did not, because His sacrifice was the only way to free us, and He did it for you too, Mr. Vega.

It amazes me that you even try to compare Harry Potter with the bible. I won't even go there. Next you will be trying to compare HP with God!

"What are you finding difficult to understand? Or do YOU believe that Harry Potter actually contains magic? Sounds like a credible hypothesis to me. Check here"

First, 'Harry Potter' is a fictional charactor, and as such cannot contain anything because he, well, isn't real.
Second, the article you refer to says that the Lore of Harry Potter books is based in Paganism. Ok, But so to are the days of our week. As I write this I look at my desk calender and note that it is indeed Wednesday. Or as many of our ancestors refered to it, Woden's Day. (read as Odin's day, the all father-Father of Thor the god of thunder.)
Much of what we live with every day is based upon paganism. Just wait, life gets better, tomorow is Thor's day.

I eat the body and drink the blood of Christ every week. It's a Catholic thing.

I have not "bashed" Christians. I happen to be one.

I have called Christians on the carpet for hypocrisy and in your case what I believe is darn near blasphemy. I am ashamed and deeply grieved because of what I've seen posted here in the name of Christ.

It's no wonder non-believers don't want anything to do with us.
