In his mind's eye, the image of what Jose Antonio Serra saw in a burned patch of jungle on the Amazon's edge is still chillingly fresh -- not because the murder happened just seven weeks ago, but because there are some things a father can never forget.
What he found, a short walk from his family's mud hut, were the remains of his 13-year-old son: a figure on its knees, head buried in the dirt, genitals and middle figure removed with cuts that looked almost surgical. In shock, Serra noticed an odd detail: The mutilated body looked diminished, even shrunken. Then he noticed the gash in the boy's jugular vein, and realized that his blood had been drained.

I guess it depends on the amount of evil and magic in your eyes wether or not it is evil and the work of satan. Rumplestiltskin was considered a satanic work when it was written. How do you feel about it?
Christians are obligated to tell the truth. And if someone deliberately, crudely, blasphemes, then a Christian must operate under the presumption that such a person is not in a state of grace, that such a person is a "son" of Satan.
That does not mean that Mr. Vega is beyond hope. But it is our obligation to urge him to "repent and believe," not make excuses for him.
IOW: "When I do it, it's good, when you do it, it's bad."
Well, I would agree with you there. But do you really think calling him the spawn of Satan is the way to "urge him to repent and believe?"
But there was the obviously Satanic character of the fairy godmother (what could she have been but a witch?) who cast spells (clearly not a Christian) over mice and pumpkins and created fabulous fashions from rags. Does this not rise to the level of worrisome evil?
What is on the right-thinkers proscribed literature list nowdays anyway? Has their vigilance slipped or is older occultism less of a problem?
Yes.
My wife and youngest son who almost died with her last pregnancy would like to know.
Your son almost died in your wife's last pregnancy? Like a still-birth or miscarriage? I don't see how that would change anything.
What self-mutilation scene? Not challenging you, I've never picked up a Harry Potter book (and don't want to) - just want to know what you're referring to.
Because of her problems with high blood pressure, he came 10 weeks early. Actually it was worse for our first son when she almost had a stroke.
If you really believe that my vasectomy is self-multilation then I'm wasting my time arguing with you about anything.
It's good to obey God, who is all good. It's bad to go around God through the occult to get what one wants.
