You may not like people who practice different religions, but you do have to live in the same nation. When you use the coercive powers of the state to suppress them, you undermine our polity. When you undermine our polity you destabilize our government. An unstable government is not something I want about now. How about you? Perhaps you've never heard of the ACLU or the NEA or any of those other groups who hate Christianity and yet want to force me to send my kids to 12 years of public/government school.

"Perhaps you've never heard of the ACLU or the NEA or any of those other groups who hate Christianity and yet want to force me to send my kids to 12 years of public/government school" No one is forcing you to send you kids to private school. You have the option of paying for private school and sending your kids there. Not that I have any love for the NEA or ACLU in most cases. But this town is using the government to shut down this retreat simply because it doesnt like what's being done there.
